If you want peace, as in peace of mind, you will learn a thing or two about psychological miscues and guilt trips. Many times, people use this as a nice tool to get rid of you or to make you feel something that they feel. And it is getting wack. More importantly, it is a miscue that mis-fires everytime, if you are aware of it.
I was having a conversation with a lady and she seemed to reach for something, inside me that is. I wasn't sure what she was aiming to get or what response she wanted. However, I was totally aware and assure of what response I was going to give. Typically, I am a peace keeper...so I prefer to respond in a way that keeps peace and temperaments calm.
But no, Miss Lady insisted that I held some type of resentment towards her, be it that I did not get my way. She even insisted this as I told her everything was fine and neither of us need not worry.
(Sidenote: I'm not sure why people in the dating arena feel as if, others must wait while they live. Incorrect! Single people must live and live independent of others temperaments. And please, if you are single and honest and are sure of where you stand, live freely. Even if someone tries to give you a guiltrip for your actions, just know, it is a emotional miscue!)
Now, back to not getting my way. By the time an adult, becomes just that--- an adult---we've experienced not getting our way, I'm sure. By the time an adult matures and has dealt with not getting everything we may want, we develop minds that no longer react as kids do, so we do not throw temper tantrums and cry. No big deal. Therefore, resentment is not a typical, normal response for someone that considers themselves an adult.
However, upon hearing her say and insist I was "resentful" I began to think of the ways in which people cannot accept simple yes' or no's as an answer. I am a normal, human being and I believe in the simplicity of things. I realized that sometimes people need a story to tell and they just are not willing to deal with simplicity. So, they must conjure up something make believe and insist that you take a role in their cast, even if you prefer to just watch. This is where guilt-tripping comes handy and they need you.
But, you must not comply. Just be a spectator and politely decline. Why? It is Psychological Miscue and if you want peace of mind, do not let your equilibrium be shaken by this kind of thinking. Misery loves company and anyone seeking to issue out a guilt trip...needs company.
This is normal for our "fault" oriented society. And I say, ease back...and remember that many times you are not at fault for the things some people will insist that you have done. Especially in the case of individuals that seek to keep peace and balance. For those troublemakers, enjoy the results of your creation. For those that do not create trouble, remember this one jewel and generate a result of peace.

Maybe your agenda as you...is all about arguing!
So much for getting along. It seems like two years ago...that was the plan. New President, New Agenda. We cheered two years ago, now we shriek and cry. Our beloved President has tried many attempts at getting along with people, co-workers...who simply want to argue.
On my facebook page earlier in the week, I commented on how shameful it is to have one's fate determined by people other than themselves. I like you do not know much about the political process and upon watching any political sitcom, news briefing or show, have learned that there are a thousand and one groups for which the government and politics run through. One of these groups (Republican dominated) decided it was best to cut unemployment benefits for millions of people and families, right before Christmas. Next on their agenda, was the freezing of all new bills until tax cuts for the rich are discussed. I believe the GOP is responsible for this.
Have you ever been in argument and said "Damn, this person just wants to feel the rush of an arguing, because we really aren't discussing anything"? I don't know about you, but I have. And this new Republican front and power shift, is just about that. They just want to argue.
Earlier in the week, President Obama held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss unemployment benefits and tax cuts. Prior to the meeting, I was watching MSNBC and a lot of the key affiliates going into this meeting were on a news panel and this is where I came up with my belief that some people just want to argue for the sake of arguing. Many of these people are like professional facebook whiners, they get paid to just rant and rave and argue for the sake of arguing.
Let's see. People don't have jobs and they qualify for petty cash, called unemployment benefits. That's right. It is petty cash compared to the expense reports that these politicians have when decorating offices, having parties and charting jets and other expenses on their lists. Let's just say, the weekly pay out to someone on unemployment, is probably one one hundreth of the amount a politician spends on office supplies. Not to mention the rich. Those needing tax cuts--"really"! The maximum unemployment check is roughly $400.00 per week. We know what rich people think of $400.00....not to big of a deal "right"! I mean it only make sense if you make $500,000.00 per year or more that this is a small amount.
So, for the sake of arguing....they take away unemployment and freeze other bills, just to prove a point. Like any worthless argument, the details don't lie. It's obvious who needs help and who should be helping. I remember the saying, "to much is given, much is required"! I guess that's a lie. I should read "to much is given, much more is needed to be given"!
I bet these dogs for politicians salivated at the lips for the chance to argue with greatness (Obama)! Like the real peasants of the world, they couldn't wait to sit with the King and "disagree"! These guys and gals are so worthless and useless. At least we know the "grinches" who stole Christmas.
Sad to say, but if I am not sure of the reason why people disagree. Maybe it is race related. Maybe they hate his political style. Maybe they hate his popularity or demeanor. Maybe they are just "haters"! Maybe...they just don't want to get along. I do not know. What I do know is that we have a President in Barack Obama and he is doing his best to lead, and many followers do not take his orders to well and it appears that they argue, for the sake of arguing.
I would think that a politician would fall in line of the leadership and conduct themselves accordingly, in a best effort to serve the people, more importantly-disenfranchised people. However, it seems that being poor or simply in an economic rut means you come last. According to logic, this shouldn't be true. But remember, those that argue for the sake of arguing...never use logic as much as they choose to rebel for the hell of it.

So...why are you single?
Good question, maybe. We will see. So, I've been asked the question "why am I single" and it feels like a milestone and counting, when I consider how many times I've been asked this question throughout my dating years. Often times, my reply was simple. Either I'd just broken up with someone, couldn't find someone or simply the timing wasn't right. And depending upon how you were asked or who asked you, one my reply, "single by choice."
Its true. Most single people are single by choice. Nothing big about that. Anyone could have something just to have "it" for the most part. But, I must talk about the other times where I've been asked this question in an insulting or disrespectful way. These are the times where, while answering, I smile and am gladdened that I am single.
See, turning 30 to me meant a change in a lot of venues in my life. One being relationships and the process by which I deal with a woman, whether it be short term or long term, serious or friendship. I've never been a big fan of disrespect and or insults and I've always demanded to be treated like a "man" in this regard, with respect being top priority.
However, I notice that with age, comes better social treatment. People no longer address me as they would a teenager or twenty-something individual. As I've aged, I've noticed more "misters'' coming out of people's mouths when addressing me. I've also noticed the "mister" in myself and the way I will be treated and wish to treat others. So, now Mr. Myron can answer why he is single in an authorative way.
Mr. Myron notices that there is a culture of disrespect that shadows African American boys, young men and men. And I wont use this time to blame society. I won't use this time to say it's black women's fault. However, the perpetuation or the "carrying out of disrespect" belongs to all of those who participate in this disrespect. I've noticed the look that black youth are given upon entering places. I've noticed and on occasion have seen/witnessed the degradation and social negging that elders of all races have given young black men. And many times I have seen/witnessed this disrespect at the hands of the young ladies that I chose to date.
The loud talking. The rants and raves. The voice raising in public to humiliate someone. The eye rolling when disagreeing. The down talking. The overall attitude of looking at someone as if they don't belong or are beneath you. I've experienced all of this and more, as a young man in many relationships (and believe this has nothing to do with good guy vs. thug or weak man vs. strong man). I've seen and witnessed the way in which women would treat a man they'd respect (by way of age or command) and then treat me to the opposite as if I wasn't a man.
However, now I speak and act with clarity as I am no longer a target nor participant in this bafoonery. I'm not in the status quo of those seeking to be treated as less than a man. Hey, I never have and never will find pleasure in being treated as the lowest common denominator in a relationship. If a woman is looking for that, I know where to direct her. Try those that wear pants and show their underwear. Try those itching to just sex you up and down, with no merit (especially the desperate dudes). Try those needing a handout of some sorts. These are all viable options for perpetuate-rs of lack of respect for themselves and these are the kind of individuals that will fit the mold for a relationship of that sorts.
Now, Mr. Myron speaks. I single. I am happy and single. And I do have choices and options like anyone else. Nothing to brag about in the adult world. However, I am single because I won't participate in the culture of disrespect that many think is masculine. It's not. I don't want to be chosen because I'm easy. No, see me as a man. There is a way you approach and speak to a man, and hey he will do the same back. Men do things differently. Please, do yourself a favor and follow suit. It's called respect and everyone deserves it, in the adult world.
It's not an insult to be single. It's not an insult to not have any choices or options. However, it is an insult when men are not viewed as men. It is an insult when men choose to behave in the lowest fashion. It is an insult when others push these views and ideas of silly, ignorant young men...on men that clearly do not participate. If you ask why I am single, I will say: "look at the news, look on the music videos, look on TV, look around your neighborhood...observe." If you catch yourself projecting ideals of immature men and hoodlum-itus on me, than that is why.
40-50 year old men don't have this problem, as they have marks of distinction that clarify their masculinity. However, men who haven't yet crossed that visual need to be viewed in the same light. It's not a visual thing solely. It's also a mental thing. Masculinity is also about aura, charisma and respect.
So, Mr. Myron...why are you single? I choose to be respected first and foremost and that is not always what I experience with the opposite sex. Let's change this from all angles. Peace

Game 101....maybe we should go into "office" too!
Often in awe, I am amazed at how a player is looked at as a crazy, sex nymph. Often I amazed at how players get the worst looks, words and treatment by people that try to instill with "game". It's funny how these men are viewed as abusers of those without a choice, as they take advantage of the money made by others. Many times they are looked at as greedy, because they keep all of the money given to them.
Damn. Damn. Damn. Hopefully, when I say office in the title, you don't think I am referring to the "principal's office" or something silly like that. I mean "office" as in the political arena. I mean "office" as in politics.
I'm amazed at these wannabe pimps, who are called politics. Often these "wannabees" do things right in front of many, and go undetected and unchecked. Hey, who makes the rules of the world? Not politicians right. Wrong! Well, who do we tell when these wanabe's get out of line and break the very rules they use to keep the general public in check? You got it...no one. Not a damn soul. Who's running game now?
Just ask George Bush, the official wannabe player. He hi-jacked a damn election. He took advantage of the general public by taking an office that didn't belong to him. This is game right. Tell or don't tell a hoe what you're going to do, and do it. No bad looks for him though, just pure game right.
How about "Wall Street" the one block in cohoots with the government. Did these wannabe players get a pardon from the other wannabe players? Sure did. Who paid for their economic fuck-up? In their book, they'd say "the hoes that go to work everyday and pay taxes." Smells like game to me (eventhough, they are still wannabes). Then, these wreckless gamers had the nerve to justify taking bonuses. Ummm ummm ummm...that's some spicy game to me. I mean, they like "players" most people ridicule, worked for the bonuses right.
And last but not least, I am awestruck about the idea of "running for office." The kickback of kickbacks. The idea of creating campaigns with millions and millions of dollars only for the elected official to join office making $200-400 thousand a year. Pimps and players call it game. What do you call it? Since when do you need millions to make a couple hundred k's for four years. Where does the rest of that cake go? Maybe there are some secret alliances, kickbacks and other things going on, involving all of this money.
So, where do we go from here? I'm not sure about the political aspect of it. However, I will say cut the insults, dirty looks and silly ideologies about players. Many people got they "p's" mixed up, when it comes to who's playing games and taking advantage of people (mentally, physically, spiritually, psychologically and socially). I admire players and always will. Most of my thoughts, actions and lifestyle choices cater to this way of thinking and living. I admire out of the box thinking. I consider it extreme common-sense. The only difference is...some admit it while others don't.
Politicians don't admit it. A real player would. Like Ice Cube's song "who's the mack"? They want us to die hard and overly concern ourselves with politics. Tell them to give us some of those millions they use to get that $400 thousand salary...and then we will talk. hahahaha....

day one of my journal for brothers...that want to be men!
There's something about being a "man" that I enjoy. I am writing a book about this experience and mind trip that I am happy to experience. Every step, word, action, thought and everything else in the atmosphere that creates this masculine experience for me...I must say thank you and I am glad to have this. I wanted to do a rules book...but those are out dated. Although, rules, choices and outcomes have a lot to do with this walk as a man. I'm just tired of hearing the pitch "5 rules to better blazay blah".
So, I will operate under theory and write it as a journal entry, and may my perspective help those who need it, and hurt those who try to kill it.
I truly am exhausted at the results and the amount of work that many people and groups have contributed to killing off the men of color...and now, masculinity as a whole. May you go to hell and rest in turmoil. for my fellas, I am blogging a sincere blog, in hopes of showing men of color a road that leads to treasure called "authentic manhood" and may you go from there. The reason you have to go from there is because truly, you can be told how to walk manly (as opposed to what many feel when they say, you can't tell a man how to be a man). However, the final choice to adopt this walk of life...is yours.
Men come in all shapes and colors. We have many shapes and forms. We believe in many things. Yet, I am not trying to concern myself with the seperation that comes from me exploring our individual paths. I am exploring and putting theory to what we are "collectively"! So, let us not fight about our individual beliefs. Let us unite on what we share and on common ground.
Part of me feels that masculinity is a choice. It is an attitude. And it is something that is spiritual as well. After walking the walk for so long....like all things, walking it becomes second nature.
Welcome. Welcome to my world and ideas. Whether you're an ex-con, pussy-whipped, been hurt in a relationship, been touched inappropriately, didn't have a father....etc. etc. etc....let's look at some ideas that will help us turn around our fragmented existence in society and state firmly that "we are men" and we belong! I was looking at a magazine counter and read the line of a magazine that asked "where are our black men"? I laughed as I looked at all of the other magazines only to see brothas on 2 out of 35 covers. I thought, da it's obvious. Blackmen are in the land of "Non-inclusion". We exist, but we don't!
So, I begin with my first theory. It states..."kiss my ass, and don't call me when it's an emergency"! Simply put, include me in every day life or I will create an existence without you. I have worth. I have read enough articles about the shortage of black men in relationships. I have read enough articles about the shortage of black men in homes, schools, work force etc. etc. etc....It's obvious, if you decided to include us before there is a shortage, we wouldn't have this problem. As able Americans, people know how to include, merge and get things. Americans know how to welcome and include people where they wish them to be. So, enough of the b-shit about black men not stepping up. You're not stepping up. You're not doing what is necessary to include men of color in your organizations. Use the efforts that you use to incarcerate men of color, and we will see some damn results. Re-channel your racist and sexist rants and use that fuel to include us into common life...and the shortage will die. Black men...be ready. Change will come. And remember...make sure you have a voice and be included. For black women, if you want a black man, don't wait til you get a marriage Jones before you include one in your life. Be a friend and it should materialize.
Black men...be included. Demand inclusion. And stand firmly as others do what is necessary to include us. Black Masculinity...enjoyit.

It has been a minute
It has been a minute. But, I am working on this blog thing and I am attempting to secure other things that are writing related. So, whatsup. Obviously, if you are like me...you are one of these people that notice things and speak/write about them.
I was looking in the paper this week (AM New York) and I saw where fashion bloggers generate loads of popularity, by blogging daily. Pretty cool. I like blogging, but I don't have that much to say...everyday.
Speaking of not having that much to say, everyday. I think this is a masculine trait. And not to be refuted, I lean on this idea as true. I just don't think men should have so much to say...all the time. Unless, you are a news anchorman or you host a daily show. Otherwise, why always be found talking. Press pause, in extreme cases....STOP.
Feminine energy. What can I say, it is beauty in a good form, when it is owned by a woman. That being said, someone please inform two groups of people about feminine energy and how it manifest itself. And more importantly, tell them to stop with it. So, about those groups. I notice mainly two. First, the new hip crowd. This new crowd of skinny jean wearing, cutsie tootsie mannered, accessoried from head to toe, talkative, always want to be around guy friends crowd. Please...help me reverse the curse. Men shouldn't see men's draws. Two, your legs are not for display. Three, get in the gym and body build. Do some manly things...stop the "where is my homeboy-itis"...Ladies, if you have sons, do not raise them to be cute. Last but not least....obviously, teach them tact and timing. Always talking is "bitchy" to manly men. And these punks are bitchy.
Group number two are the guys who watch other guys and always claim that they have Gay-dar as far as men's actions are concerned. Notice how I said these two groups possess feminine energy, not that they are gay. These Gaydar rebels think everything that they do not approve of is....gay. Cut it. This is not only feminine, but it is not manly. It is also "loser" energy. Stop watching men, so close. Guys can shout out other guys in a masculine way. Guys can wear clothing and fashion in a way that is smooth and player player. Yet, you should stop acting like everything that is not "Killa thug" is the opposite. The opposite of thug is not homo. The opposite of thug is productive person. Cut it out. Real players take chances in life (fashion included) and just because you wont...does not mean someone is "homo"!
I mentor 10-15 young men and these are issues that I see. I am really getting prepped to focus my whole movement (educational, artistic and life-oriented) towards helping Black Men....we really need to focus on black men. The Kids have help. Women have help. And now...Black men need help. Here is my way of helping....

To be young, gifted and Black
I can't forget. Won't forget. I come from this pool. I come from this group. We don't all turn strong, successful, rich, prominent or wealthy. But...we all come from this group. We all come from this group. It is a group called..."young, gifted and black"! I say amen. I say I am proud. I say I am happy.
RIP John Strickland. I look at the current crop of players playing in the NBA. Many will never know you. Many missed the opportunity to meet you. Today's group of NBA stars seemingly avoid the playgrounds. NBA stars today make hordes of money. They travel the world. They are loved and cherished. However, subtract the money...many of these guys just have a good job. Many of these guys will never be revered for their talent, outside of the fact that they are part of an organization that pampers them and pays well.
Well, I introduce you to streetball. A place where legends are made. A place where true talent peeks its head, and only the strong survive. Legends are made by their play and not by the size of their contracts. Legends are made by going up against other legends outside admist the current of up and comers who wish to be legends themselves. First, you earn a nickname from an authorized park legend. Then you play in other parks and hope that your name resonates enough to be remembered here. After 5, 10, 15 years of playing with and against other legends...you have been branded and your status is elevated to legendary.
That was John Strickland. He was a great player and consummate entertainer. He made you want to copy some of his movements. He made you want to entertain crowds by way of your play. He had fun and he was a fan favorite. All in all, thats what life and the game is really about...entertaining others with your play. That is why I will always remember him. Now, many of you will never meet him person. Thanks to youtube, if you're interested...you may be able to see some of his antics and the way he played. (Study his interactions with the audience) From this...you will understand the importance of being young, gifted and black. Why? Because this is what you come from and this is what you are. You have a good job. You have a good lifestyle. The NBA is a nice reward. But, remember...you are young, gifted and black. Have a legacy that shines through. Remember, there are others who will never make the money you make. And there are others who came before you who may not be as prosperous. It's ok. Don't forget to acknowledge them in some fashion. And yes, you do owe some sort of allegience.
Even if its simply just remembering the fact that...you are "young, gifted and black" like many others who once were and someday will be. Let this be your brand. Be black, be strong and enjoy youth while you have it and one day they will open the books and you will become "LEGENDARY"!

What, why am I doing stuff that I normally wouldn't do?
Call America the United States of Subliminal Messages....that is what moves us and moves our land. Remember, 90 percent of communication is.....that's right, NONVERBAL. So, that being said, you have to pay attention to the covert things, not the overt.
I taught my class today and a student asked, "why are we studying subliminal messages?" I replied, the world of the unknown is what test are really about. The real world is really about the unknown. How do I teach and reach students who are not familiar with the unknown? I'm not sure. But I do know they need an introduction on subliminals and how the unknown works. This intro will help them navigate tests, life and other things as related to society. No, this isn't conspiracy theory. No, I am not trying to induce my students to only see the unknown as it relates to "fear"!
I want my students to see the unknown and be able to draw a possibility, from an impossibility. One of my students answered a dynamic question, as it related to taking a GED test. I asked him, how do you make a Festiva drive or function with 40 inch wheels. He said, "with certain tools, some things that are impossible, become possible." I said "a ha". That answer came from his sub-concious. He wasn't aware that he could say such a thing. And I said, that is my point exactly. This is how I want them to train themselves to not only take test, but live life.
Many people wonder why relations, life, the economy, politics and other things have gone awry in America. Look at all of the subliminals. We say we want things on the surface. And many times we do. But underneath, subliminally we are being programmed to refuel all of the ideals of not wanting harmony with these things. A beautiful woman wants a beautfiul man. They meet, but neither seem willing to co-exist together. On the surface, it seems like a good match. Underneath, the internal messages they send to themselves and each other are OFF. The Willie Lynch letter addresses this phenomena and this relates particularly to the black community.
On a final note, I was looking at a magazine stand. There was one magazine cover that had an article title on the front that said, "where are black men"? I laughed as I looked at the cover of 30 magazines, only to see 3 or 4 with black men's faces on them. Most of these magazines (the 3or 4) had black men that were celebrities on them, not regular joes. And that sends a clear message to people. So, in response to the question that article posed, I answer..."not included"...by way of subliminals and direct messages. Which means...unknown.

damn...I love my history...but, damn I hate that many feel forever tied to it.
For those who don't know, I like fashion, acting and writing. I really love my style as it relates to all three of these major businesses and art forms. I love my perspective and as a teacher, I really marvel at the chance to teach, learn and or experience any of these art forms. As a student of life and the subjects life create, I can draw hordes of inspiration as I become more and more aware of what these subjects teach and say about humanity.
However, I am approaching a downfall that many artist in my shoes have approached. Well, it is not common to notice that I am a black male and there is a dilemma that makes black people in the arts either assume the role of artist or a black artist. Many will say, "who gives a damn"! I say the same thing too. However, when artists such as actors go to look for work, casting calls usually read specifically-caucasian male, african american male, japanese male...etc. etc. etc....and it makes you think, regardless of whether you feel you're an artist or black artist, how you fit into someone's art, is how they design it. If they call for black men, answer. If they call for white men, and you are not white, don't answer.
The sadness increases a little even more as you look at tv, movies and art and notice....black art in mainstream is sorely lacking. As far as movies are concerned, I must say that I am tired of talking about the same ole' same ole'. Yes Love Jones, The Wood, New Jack City, Do The Right Thing were and are classics. Anything new. Am I forever tied to my history? Is that it? Will there ever be new classics that represent black emotions? Will we ever get a banging black movie that lets black men escape to the hills of Italy for the story line? Will we ever see a movie that depicts black relationships like Nights in Rodanthe, Vicky Barcelona, or Eat, love, pray? More importantly, will black people expand their minds and open up to recieve these stories?
Please, and I say please. Its time to erase our traditional mindsets and open up for more than campfire talks about 80's hip hop, 90's films and all the historical greatness of our past. Black people please open up for the sake of black artist. Artist need fans and followers, and we need you. We need your support. Love Jones is and was great, but that was love back then. Belly depicted inner city life back then. Things have changed. And we need to see these changes. Open up and recieve these changes as they make there way into mainstream. Untie yourself from history.
I hope you recieve this message. I am reading an article in Ebony and I cant help but smile and squint at the same time. There is an article about Love Jones in it. And I am like cool. But, I am tired of expositions about our past. What about our future? And I say our future as artist and those seeking art by us is headed for doom, if we do not open up and recieve new stories, new plots, new ways of existence and new people and new faces....please...let us live!
Peace...

We are the next Generation.....
We are the next generation, and we shall be the next generation (someday) to pass on what it means to be the "next generation"! Isn't this the point of survival as mandated by scientist. Ensure the survival of your species. Wow...starting to feel like an animal or a item. Yeah, but it is true. After talking to a friend, a much younger friend, I realize that we must pass on our beliefs and ideals to ensure that they are able to survive and do the same to the following generation.
I had a conversation with my brother, and he spoke about how the younger guys playing ball at his gym didn't listen. He said that many of them only kept good grades to play ball and that their skill level wasn't the greatest. I told him that I believe this new generation is clearly influenced by obvious and direct incentive. If you want them to comply or listen, you have to show them immediate incentives. Our generation operated with more patience and we were able to wait for results and or prizes. This generation won't move, unless they know the result or whats in it for them....ideals not included.
Makes you think. How do you pass good insight on to these kids? How do you get them to listen? I say keep the message the same and proceed. Generations to come and those closely linked to ours, must know and understand that not all results come immediately and definitely, not all rewards come immediately. Don't expect anything extra (if it comes...fine) and work for the sake of working. Learn for the sake of learning. Most important, value life, others and values....these are the only things that really matter. Its easy to get lost in things and stuff...but one day you will have to pass on something to the following generation and it won't be things. It will be values. They say every generation is 20 years. Times have sped up and it needs to be every 10 years.
So, I offer to you and those of you who will begin to speak to those in the next generation. Offer them love, compassion and wisdom. Let them know that permanence does not exist for humans. Let them know that giving is cool, sharing is cool and being cool is in personality, not stuff. Let them know that hard work is not an option and that it builds character. Sure, we don't have card catalogs anymore and typewriters have been replaced by laptops, but dictionaries and google do not replace the need to deal with literature as hard copy. My young friend said, that memorizing facts was the way we learned and that this new generation doesn't need to know anything, all they have to do is Google. I laughed. So, un-true. For values like commitment, love, respect, integrity, friendship, self respect and esteem are just a few of the items that need to be learned, expounded on and saved in the files of ones heart. You can't Google that. Don't fight this either, or someone may play you with your obsession to have without working, to desire without first observing and analyzing your real needs.
Don't get caught up....your day for giving back is soon. Google not included. Come from the heart. Have a great weekend.

ILLUMINATI-----AWWWWWWWWW....DONT COME FOR ME, CAN I JOIN?
Im sarcastic, I know it. It feels good. But all this talk of the devil...speaking of the devil, don't you just love all of this satanic shit and devillish jargon that is taking place. Oh...the Illuminati this, Oh...the illumanit that. Myron, watch out...they may come for you. Conspiracy, conspiracy, conspiracy. Please, get a grip. Jay-Z worships the devil, yeah...no more than you and I. They are now saying that this famous Illuminati gang is invading gospel music, gospel pastors, athletes after having successfully taken over the Hip-Hop estate.
I'll be damn. Is that right? Now every bootlegger and DVD salesman can sell more. (Thank God for them, I am not hating on the hustle. I love me some bootlegs. Please don't let the bootleg salesmen join the Illuminati, I need my cheap DVDs and CD's) And now every, philosophical nutcase can expound on his or her analysis of debate to exchange the disposition of those whom choose to annihilate the masses with devillish diatribes...ok get my drift. Fancy talkers, fancy images.
Can we look deeper? Maybe the Illuminati exist like all other things and ideas, because we buy into it. Maybe we are looking for something new to buy into and are not realizing that hey, who gives a what, what. Think for a second, do you really believe busy millionaires and athletes have time for the satanic rituals and codes and odes of conduct. Also, from a religious perspective...isn't it a persons right to choose whom and what they will worship? Are we witch hunting again? Isn't this America, you know, the land of the free? Please people, conversation of the Illumaniti is tantillizing and sensational, makes me say "whoa", then I move on.
On a deeper note, the Illuminati or talks of it, can destroy people's aspirations. We must be careful to watch how we buy into it. Easily, we can destroy what minority kids aspire to be. Let's say we do believe all of our stars and idols are devil worshippers...what does this say about us? It says that we are systematically destroying what our kids may aspire to be. Maybe our kids want to be these athletes, musicians, preachers, singers and movie stars...if we buy into the notion that the current line of stars are satanic....don't think for a second that our kids won't start practicing satanic ideals, because they want to be stars. And sometimes they want this at all cost. Maybe the Illuminati is a big joke that watches us and laughs and says "damn...I the media am that good, to where they will believe almost anything." Don't be called stupid to your face! Ask yourself why are they only associating African Americans with this notion. What about the rock and rollers, what about the Jim Carrey's, Tom Cruises, Marilyn Manson's and Al Pacino's and Quentin Tarratino's...and God knows...Justin Beibers...what about all of the movie stars, actors and actresses, rock stars, agents and athletes that are not black....people please don't do this....
Someone said Barack Obama is in this. So, not only do you destroy entertainers and those that aspire to be. You believe and thus destroy the image of Barack Obama, educated black man. Okay, so what do we aspire for now? Who do we aspire to be now? You put everyone down as Illuminati, so now who do we aspire to be? PAY ATTENTION...think for yourself.
On another note, lets say these guys are Illuminati and that worshiping the devil is.....you know, bad! Maybe we all should join. Think about it, do you neglect your kids, do you lie to your spouse, do you hate on black men/women for trying to get ahead, do you hate on people period, do you support black art, knowledge and/or education, do you support poor people, do you beat your wife, do you cheat on your spouse, are you greedy.....I can name a million and one questions that many people could probably answer "yes" to, and would thus qualify them as SATANIC NUT-CASES! Damn Jay-Z and who someone tells you might be Illuminati...your evil ass, with your evil ass ways...should seek to join this satanic group. I mean, you know the laws of humanity and God...where do you fit in? HMMMmmmmmm.....think for yourself.
Don't be played for the fool....like me and my humor, I love sarcasm, because I can recognize a joke...when I see one....May the Divine bless, reveal and heal you....over and out!

Collage Days
Some days, I like many others have many things to say. I wanted to talk about relationships and the process of the cold approach that guys have to experience when furthering their interest in a love interest. The only thing I can say about this is...how gruesome. How horrendous is it for a guy to muster up the courage to approach a female, with the hopes of generating a good result? I'd say very horrendous. By the time a guy is 25, he has seen every mixed signal in the book and has experienced all of the shields that women feel they have to put up! My advice...don't waste time. People (women included) have a way of showing interest, and now that everyone is soooo independent and against traditional norms, guess what....she can approach you.
And after leaving the sphere of relationships, I enter the realm of the US and hate. These two go together. Why? This is what we do best. There is an article that says the US is not number one in the Western Hemisphere. And we owe this wonderful standing to none other than the one and only "itself"...you got it..."competition"! Can you believe it? Spurned by hatred, kept alive by greed...yes competition fuels hatred and what we hate, we don't support. Thanks to this, we hate each other, we talk shit about each other, we crucify and take from each other, we don't believe in each other and we don't experience each other in all fullness. These are the grounds for competition and yes no one gives, therefore, since we are not into promoting our own talent and since we send work overseas...for bigger profits...we suffer. Oh well, who cares...good ole' America right. Divine Transformation needed.
After we leave here, we join hands with Soul and as I was studying Divine Transformation and meditating on it...I came accross a line that said everything has a soul. I have always thought this and will continue to think this. I also notice how very few see this. Everything has a soul. Soul is in the way we speak, act, do and conduct ourselves. This soul/passion is missing in life and morale. Many people think its mind over matter. Transformation says it soul over matter. Can you say..."look at the NBA"? Look at life...just observe people's behavior. I went to Moca Lounge in Harlem on Saturday...it was a sit-down fest. The music doesn't move people anymore. The fashion doesn't move people. People get dressed to come out and look at cell phones and each other. No soul in the interaction. Just dead. Too many of us live in our heads...like Chaka Khan said...you tell me you're going to play it smart/we're threw before we start"! I miss the soul of life. If you're a barber, make the clipper an extension of your hand. If you play ball, play like its the first or last game. Make a dunk and a jump shot a thing of beauty...and please...play some d. If you like fashion, dress like never before and show your style. If you are social, socialize like now is forever. Have soul and live....GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD!
And LIVE OUT LOUD!

Sissy's always prevail...but.......do they really?
Bishop Eddie Long...if I wrote a letter to you, it would berate and lambaste you for your mistakes. However, I think most people are already doing that. At least the ones that are not afraid of saying how they feel. And truly on a human level, you deserve it like anyone else does. And on another level, as an American we need to realize that anger and disgusts are emotions and let's be real...we deserve to have them and express them. This is what we call real. However, your situation (whether true or false) brings to light several issues of and about the American psyche (as of late)...that we Americans need to address. So, my letter would address issues along the lines of accountability for all, including you. My letter would also address this sissy-ship and sissy-itis that is taking place amongst women and sad to say...men!
So here goes:
Dear Bishop Long,
You are a teacher, preacher and scholar. Congrats. You are a human first. I don't know the names of those who are in cohoots with you. So we will call them X and Y (like Math)! You three had an arrangement, according to legend, and now X and Y want to drag you through the mud. Damn! And now like the sissy's they are they want to "blow up the spot" cause you did them wrong. That's funny. Not the situation, but people's mentallity in 2010 is funny.
X and Y say that you abused your authority and leadership and that you took advantage of them. Yes Brother Long, they say that you used luxury gifts, cars, trips, clothes and money to lure them into bed. And like the good and innocent kids their lawyers think they were you are being sued because they couldn't fend for themselves. "How dare you you Bishop, offer candy to those poor, slow and disenfranchised kids." God only knows, they probably didn't notice the difference between luxury and regular gifts. I mean what is this lawsuit really about, their worth. Do they feel short-changed? Do they feel you should've have given more? Who knows....let's see if we can solve the unknown, like Math.
X and Y. I don't if anyone told you, but there is a difference between clothes from Walmart and clothing from Gucci. There is a difference between a Lexus and a beat-up Honda. There is a difference between a first class flight to London or Paris and a coach flight to Denver. By now I think you get my drift. You both received luxury gifts and now you have a problem. Bull-shit. You are the problem. Now three years later, we should feel sorry for you. Now we should stone Bishop Long to death. No way, hold your hand out for swats too. You know what the scenario was as well. True, Bishop Long should've known better. But you should've too. It's not like this is the norm for friendship or most relationships. So, why am I yelling sissy in every other sentence. Because you are and men need to stop this silly shit. You take and then tell. Then you justify your snitching by saying he lured you with gifts abusing his leadership. Bullshit...again. Cut it out! Americans, let us please stop this act of delayed reactions. We know what we do. Damn that. X and Y...you know what you were doing. You knew the price and you accepted. You could've said no. And now, like disgruntled hoochies, you want to snitch. Would you like to return the value of those flights, cars, clothes, stipends, meals and everything else? I don't think so.
I am tired of the notion that intelligence can be delayed and frozen. Yes, we all make mistakes. But you X and Y, wont get off that easy (at least in my book)! You and men of the future should know that accountability does not involve blaming others. You can't just walk as if you had no part in it. There is a sermon in this situation and it may not involve words. But the actions are speaking loud and clear...you two are just as guilty. I'm sure you didn't complain in first class. I'm sure you didn't complain about those designer threads. I'm sure you didn't complain about the cash, cars and luxury hotels in Europe. Don't and I repeat do not...complain now! I don't know what is up with this new trend that says...be a devil, then tell on everyone involved, write a book and get millions. At the end of the day...you're the worst kind of sissy (X and Y) because you took, snitched and still didn't learn anything. And guess what, I will be damned if America doesn't glorify this non-sense. I am baffled. But I (anti-sissy) stand firmly on the notion that you know and knew what you were doing. And damn how you feel now...do what the rest of us do, live with the guilt of your mistake until you heal. Do what the rest of us do, and live through the fire of poor decisions. Do what the rest of us do, as we go through mild depression and feelings of despair about past mistakes. Then seek an alternative to healing. And then, only then will you realize that you are a part of the problem.
From there, your sissy card will be thrown away and you will emerge like the rest of us....HUMAN! You too could learn this Mr. Long. You are human now. Welcome back. No more podiums, expensive suits and cars, soirees and elevated sermons. You, like the rest of need to learn what it's like to sit in the stands of life. You could use this as a time to feel the warm breath of humanity, as it breathes the smell of embarassment on your aura. I've experienced this many times and I'm pretty sure you have. I recently did something dumb...and guess what, after talking to my father, he said "what makes you think your day wasn't coming!" I said, "damn" as I came to realizing that those were the words for my re-introduction back into society, as I re-emerged as a human being. So, I calmy say to you, my elder....Bishop Long, "welcome to society, welcome to the real world, and "what makes you think your day wasn't coming"! Now you can take your place amongst the real people that inhabit society.
Peace, Love and Welcome Back!

Pies in the oven...and tomatoes are cocked...did u really just say that!
No pussy-footing here. If you don't hear what u wish....wish again. I've been pondering a statement that I hear a lot as a "professional black man" and I really have to refute it. Goes like this...where do you work? I reply "I teach." Person says, "Great, we need more black men to teach" and usually I hear this everywhere I go. And its pretty obvious that when asked where I work or wish to work, people will respond with ..."Great we need more black men to do (after "do"...put whatever job you would like)!
Ha! Ha! Ha! How funny! Now I realize that small talk has its innuendos and common sayings. I also realize that in the hearts of many, a productive black is just rare. And so I get inunadated with "statements as I've mentioned. It made me think and now I have the ability to formulate a reponse that is the equivalent of "sure, please...get a grip"! I really wanted to say "f--k off"! But I will be nice.
Here I is what I know (notice I didn't say think)! Society and those that say this shit should stop. As a black man that has worked in various fields, while living life...I know that black men in leadership or acclaim is seemingly the last thing people wantor need. Sure the ideal of it is nice. I mean my God...homeless people need homes and the poor and famished need food and money. Oh God, how great. Where there is a shortage or need, it's great to see it fulfilled. Even as we let homes go un-occupied. Even as restaraunts throw away pounds of food. Even while politicians and companies blow millions of dollars yearly. GOD its just great to see someone help the poor.
Now, what do we really need? I will tell you. We need to cut the b.s and realize that black men aren't needed in these fields. Its not a matter of application. Its not like black men are not applying themselves in these arenas. Black men teach. Black men do alot in various industries. Black men need a release from the contract that so called advanced and open minded thinkers have created, yet they didn't ask for our signatures. We didn't agree. Yes, this notion of us being need, but not available is "bull shit". If your so damn smart....why is there a need in the first damn place? Why isn't there a need of white men in leadership roles....hmmmmmmmmmmmmm! THINK, THINK, THINK! Because no shortage was created.
Maybe, just maybe there was a shortage of this magnitude...because it was created. Maybe people's perception of black men should change. Maybe the environments that ask for black men's leadership, should change. Maybe society should learn how to deal with black men in authority. Maybe society should take notice of the black leadership and men they have in these roles now. And then maybe, just maybe...society will see that it is not a black man problem. Its the perception of those around us.
So, as a black man who works in a position of leadership, I say in small talk voice..."we need White men to maybe ease up the competitve edge and realize that black men wont exist in their industries as long as they are strategically kept out. Can you say...corportate American culture aka "good ole' boys club"! Don't bite your tongue...speaking of tongue biting....can you tell Black women to put their lips on their tongue and speak up in industries where they work and shortages of black men exist. HMMMM...Can you tell white women to quit perpetuating the notion of black men as threatning and intimidating and angry....and also to stop forwarding our resumes to the trash bin. And to look at our resumes with an un-biased eye. HMMMMMM....Can you tell Uncle tom type black men to be mentors and help usher in new black men of talent. HMMMMM.....
Kind of funny isn't it. We really don't want or need black men in these positions of leadership. We need them where they are. People need war stories to hear and talk about. People need flunkies in society to feel good about themselves. Please, we don't want problems fixed. We need black men as problems to validate our existence...right. We care more about the shortage, than the man filling it. Please, cut it out. When Americans need or want something, they get it right. Seemingly, it is obvious...many Americans need and want black men obsolete in classrooms and other spectacles...why, it helps others keep their psyche's in check.
So, I say "kiss my ass"! I only live once and I wont ponder this foolishness. I mean, why would a black man become a teacher and try to influence a black boy to be a black leader...when society doesn't want "black men in leadership positions. Maybe we aren't dumb at all. Maybe it's you....

Grateful Dead.....greatful dread
I think of travel and I have an itch to go to Milan. I'm a Happy Hour King and I love NYC. However, many NY'ers tend to be aloof to the process of Happy Hour. Obviously, these are the dreads or dreadful people I speak of in my title. Happy Hour...once you enter, you are king. Cheap drinks, cheap appetizers and hopefully a waiter or bartender or two to flirt with and/or converse with. Beautiful scenery...and just maybe, just maybe....someone will catch your vibe and the two of you will share in the beauty of this way of life.
I'm dedicated to this way of life. I will schedule life and work around happy hour. Did I say cheap drinks? Think 80% off the price they charge after Happy Hour. Now, you may think whats the point. Okay, here goes....Happy hour is not a place for negotiations. I've noticed in my travels to Europe that our skinny jean wearing brothers and aptly fashionable sisters of this area know this. Please, Blackberries on OFF! Next, people seemingly flock to happy hour in Milan to catch up with friends, to meet new people (wink), to drink and socialize, and more than likely...to show off their skinny jeans or tailored attire. And some simply go because the cultural ethos implies that the air requires slow breathing and a pause in everyday life affairs.
Part 2....did I say Milan. Yes I did. Here is where I tune into my Grateful Dead, while wishing those that are not so grateful...to be greatful in dread. Confusing. this is the closest i can get to expressing this. In regular words, I say and speak for travellers who wish they could travel more...that I envy those in certain regards who are able to live and travel to divers places and see/live/co-exist in foreign communities. I hate these guys who put this off as a detterence to their lifestyle. I know of a few atheletes that are not able to play in American arenas, so they have to play overseas. However, they hate and despise not being able to play at home. however, when I think of the privalege associated with playing ball in these foreign arenas...I melt. I wish I could live in three continents while making money doing an activity that comes natural (I assume)! Some/many of these players have lived on 3-5 continents in less than a 5 year span. They have witnessed cultures and life move in a different way as opposed to life in America.
Then you meet, the Americans that wish to do this. And we are lucky if we leave the country once a year. We are blessed if we can live on another continent. We are travellers at heart and we hope to do this. Give me life in 10 continents in a ten year span. Give me professional sport money to live in a foreign place. (sidenote-what if they don't even play that much. What if they ride the bench. This means they are paid to essentially live in another area) Hell, I could live in a foreign area for that.
Overall, my rift says this. I'm grateful to go once or twice a year to these foreign places, but I wish for a new frequency and the old frequency to die. Hence, grateful dead. As far as greatful dread goes....well, I wish these idiots would realize that they are the great-ful ones and quit the dread. Maybe I'm mad...that I just can't afford to travel as much. All I know is...damn....I wish to be in Milan for happy hour. Who knows...maybe my life there and other places will happen sooner than later. til then...it's happy hour in the village, with Blackberries and businessmen who negotiate. Then to next computer as I figure out how I will get to Milan...wish me luck!

MEN!!!! Dont be a Pussy....quit apologizing
Who cares....maybe "you" should. I know now and now know, that if another athelete apologizes for how he feels or expressing how he "really" feels....I will scream. I am growing tired of the "Sensitive Male" notion. Its at an all-time high and it is becoming extreme. You want an example...okay. A female reporter enters a damn locker room that is full of men. Not to mention men...that are body-oriented and physical...the epitome of masculinity. She hears a comment or is solicited for something and now she wants to bitch about sexual harassment or sexual assault.
First, why are you in there? For the life of me, I can't understand why you can not wait 20-30 minutes for an interview. The men will be dressed and a more lax. If you are about the business of reporting, wait. Why do women wish to rub elbows and be one of the guys, then flip the script when we as guys go to boundaries that guys go to? Stop being stupid. Society has a hard time of telling you what is stupid, but guess what....you're in the damn locker room. Country clubs are for white guys, barbershops are for black guys....locker rooms are for MEN! You stupid ass, you don't like the convo....wait outside.
Number 2, Men stand up and continue to stand! Remember, don't stand up at the regard of impressing women...please stand up for the sake of "your masculinity"! There is a difference. Masculinity has rules, employ them and stand for them. Cut the bullshit questioning, reasoning and philosophy-ing of what you should do....Just Do It!
"Sorry" is what stupid Valley Girls used to say, when they knew they were wrong. It is actually an insult, because they really do not mean it. Many times, they don't even look at you when saying it. Fellas should say "my bag" anyway. More importantly, do it right and express it right and you wont have to worry about saying that five letter word...like a pussy. Notice, she isn't apologizing for the fact that maybe she brought the solicitation on. MEN...stand up. Quit being a pussy. Call Stupid...stupid.
PS...I wouldn't go to a KKK rally and say, "wow" I am offended, they are making racist remarks. Humans shouldn't do this. If I were a reporter and I just had to interview a grand master...I wouldn't wait outside for tension to settle. Guess what....I just wouldn't go!

I begin with the beginning
Talk about being thrown under the bus....is loyalty present in this day and age....help me understand. No...don't help me. Governor Patterson has screech and rubber residue all over his back....not to mention mental trauma from neglect. This speaks volumes to the way in which people forsake loyalty, amidst turmoil and...and...and..and...nobody likes heat (antagonism or outside perspectives). Where have all of the tough chinned people went? Guess what...I guess the 48 Laws of Power read...how to be phony and think only about yourself, while appearing to be for others. David Patty...I hope you recover from those who abandoned you. God knows....politics are a rough draw....you guys are asked to be around attractive women (who may flirt) and not give in. You guys are asked to be perfect angels, perfect stewards, perfect images, perfect, perfect, perfect....all across the board. Wow! it must be tough. Begin with the Beginning...Perfection is a joke
